I studied photography and also cultural and social anthropology and indology. I am the daughter of a painter and a psychologist. And storytelling through impressions, emotions, cultural heritage, with influences from personal and global history has always been my passion. Even during my studies in photography I focused on stylized photography, where set design and decoration itself played a big role. Perhaps because of looking through the viewfinder I am now able to think of the set, the decoration, the construction automatically within the frame.  So my greatest passion is to combine styles, shapes, colours, textures, to tell stories through them, whether common or novel. Equally, I love finding ways in which the scenery can reflect the character in its entirety, move the story along, or become a subtle guide to it.
